Ghanaian-born UK-based singer/songwriter, Nana Kay Agyekum, popularly known as GoldKay, has made a passionate appeal on social media. The talented musician is urging Ghanaians to just 5% of the support they have consistently given the Ghana Black Stars and be rest assured that he will make sure the name of Ghana will further be projected with regards to music.

 

The ‘Bluffin’ crooner in a tweet asserted that if he gets this support from Ghanaians, he will make sure that just as some acts in neighbouring Nigeria fill large auditoriums in European countries when they go on tours, he will do some to make the people of Ghana proud.GoldKay’s tweet comes out at a time Ghanaians are very angry with the Black Stars following the heartbreaking manner they were crushed out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup despite the trust some people had in the team. He got his big breakthrough in the music industry when he featured Lynx Entertainment’s Kwami Eugene on his hit single Bluffin’.

 

The song got massive airplay and garnered over 200k streams and views across digital streaming platforms and YouTube. The release of the song also got GoldKay to receive the award as UK Based AfroBeats Artiste of the Year (2018).
